Camels win against NC Central in double-header

BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Campbell beat NC Central (8-23) 8-0 in five innings and 6-0 in their midweek matchup. 

Game One

The Camels put runs on the board in the third inning when Alyssa Henault hit an RBI single that brought in Charlie Montgomery. Tristin Doster then hit an RBI single that brought in Tyra Parker. Mariana Rodriguez hit a triple to right field that brought in the third and fourth runs of the game.

In the fourth inning Montgomery hit a sac fly that brought in Jamaria Charley, then Parker reached on a fielder's choice and Allyiah Swiney went home. Tristin Doster then hit a double down the left field line that brought in Parker and Henault and gave the Camels their final runs of the game. 

Ashanti Eubanks (3-8) was charged with the loss after pitching 4.0 innings and allowing eight hits, eight earned runs and two strikeouts.  

Kayla Howald (2-0) was credited with the win after pitching 5.0 innings and allowing two hits, no runs and three strikeouts. 
 
Game Two 

The Camels started off early in the second inning when Delaney McDilda hit a double to right center that brought in Mariana Rodriguez. Lindsay Lumsden hit a double in the fourth inning that brought in Doster, then McDilda hit an RBI single that brought in Lumsden. 

Tristin Doster hit her second home run of the season in the sixth inning, bringing in Parker. Madilyn Gillespie hit an RBI single that brought in Charley and gave the Camels their sixth and final run of the game. 

Jaden Davis (4-11) was charged with the loss after pitching 6.0 innings and allowing nine hits, six earned runs and one strikeout. 

Katherine Serna (1-0) was credited with her first win after pitching 7.0 innings and allowing six hits, no runs and four strikeouts.
