Camels win series against Monmouth

BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Campbell wins the series against Monmouth, beating Monmouth (13-21) 3-1 in game two, but falling 5-4 in game three of the series. 

Game One

The Hawks got their first and only run of the game on the board in the third inning, when Dani Dabroski scored on an error. The Camels answered in the bottom of the third inning, with Savannah White hitting an RBI double that brought in Charlie Montgomery. For the final runs of the game Delaney McDilda hit a two RBI single in the sixth inning that brought in Mariana Rodriguez and Jamaria Charley

Billie Kerwood (8-10) was charged with the loss after pitching 6.0 innings and allowing eight hits, one earned run and six strikeouts.  

Isabella Smith (12-5) was credited with the win after pitching 7.0 innings and allowing one hit, no earned runs and seven strikeouts. 
 
Game Two 

The Hawks came out scoring early, when Kiley O'Rourke hit an RBI single in the first inning. They scored four runs in the third inning after an error and three RBIs. 

The Camels answered in the fourth inning with Rodriguez hitting an RBI single. In the fifth inning Tristin Doster hit a sac fly that brought in White, and then Lindsay Lumsden hit a two RBI double that brought in Tyra Parker and Alyssa Henault. Those were the final runs of the game and the Camels fell short by one run. 

Ana Rodriguez (3-3) was credited with the win after pitching 5.0 innings and allowing nine hits, four earned runs and four strikeouts. 

Megan Gregory (1-5) was charged with the loss after pitching 3.0 innings and allowing five hits, three earned runs and one strikeout. Hannah Leierer also came in and pitched 4.0 innings, allowing one hit, no earned runs and three strikeouts.
