Camels wrap up road swing at Duke Monday

BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Campbell (3-8, 0-3 CAA) completes its four-game road swing Monday at Duke in a 7 PM start. The game will be broadcast on ACCNX.

LAST TIME OUT

  • Campbell fell at Coastal Carolina last Wednesday, 15-8
  • The Camels trailed 3-2 after the opening period before the Chanticleers outscored Campbell 5-0 in the second period and never looked back. Campbell cut its deficit to as few as four in the third quarter but couldn't get any closer
  • Lexi Goff led CU with three goals while both Ally Heath and Joslin Hanbury scored twice. McKenna Duncan dished out three assists
  • Coastal Carolina had 10 different goal scorers including five who scored two goals
  • The Chanticleers held a 31-29 edge on shots, including 22-18 in attempts on goal, while both sides finished even on draws with 13 each. Coastal went 20-for-20 on clears while Campbell went 16-for-21
  • Emma Strickland made five saves while Alana Lepore had two in goal for the Camels

  • Campbell faces Duke for the fourth time in program history and first since 2019
  • Duke, who has been nationally ranked in each of the three previous games, are 3-0 in the series
  • The Fighting Camels fell 21-4 to #13 Duke in the last time both teams met on March 26, 2019 in Buies Creek

HEAD COACH DAWN EASLEY

  • Head coach Dawn Easley (Pfeiffer '05) enters her 11th season at the helm of Campbell Lacrosse
  • Easley owns a 82-96 record at Campbell and a 140-127 record overall after spending five seasons as head coach of her alma mater Pfeiffer from 2008-13
  • The Camels have improved its win total in three straight seasons under Easley, setting a program record with 12 wins in 2023
