Camels sweep first CAA series

Stony Brook, N.Y. - Delaney McDilda hit a home run to win the game 2-1 against Stony Brook in the final game of their weekend series. 

In the top of the second, McDilda hit a home run to left field that brought in Allyiah Swiney and gave the Camels (11-12-1 overall) their two runs of the game. 

The Rams (8-9 overall) answered in the fourth inning when Catherine Kupinski hit a home run to left center, giving the Rams their first and final run of the game. 

Mia Haynes (2-4) was charged with the loss and pitched 7.0 innings for the Rams, allowing four hits, two earned runs and six strikeouts.  

Isabella Smith (7-4) was credited with the win and pitched all 7.0 innings for the Camels and allowed three hits, one earned run and four strikeouts. 

Coach Prater stated, "So proud of the team. From top to bottom we were all invested one hundred percent and we're looking forward to coming home next week and getting our first home CAA series against Towson." 

Up Next

The Camels will return back to the creek March 15-17 to play their first at home CAA series against Towson. All games will be live streamed and have live stats.
