Box Score DURHAM, N.C. - Campbell fell at #23 Duke 16-2 Monday evening at Koskinen Field.
The nationally-ranked Blue Devils (9-5) took just 23 seconds to find the back of the net. Campbell (3-9) evened things as Shea Saracino scored her first career goal off a free position.
Duke rattled off seven straight goals to end the first quarter and scored three more goals in the second to take a 11-1 edge into halftime. Duke added five more goals in the the second half.
Lexi Goff added a second goal for Campbell on a free position early in the fourth quarter.
Katie Keller led Duke with four goals while Carolina DeBellis added three goals and one assist with Katie DeSimone recording two goals and two assists. 10
The Blue Devils outshot Campbell 28-17 including 24-11 in attempts on target. Duke also held a 14-6 edge on draws and went 18-of-19 in clears compared to 16-of-20 for the Camels.
Campbell returns home as it hosts Elon in CAA action on Saturday at 2 PM.
