WILMINGTON, N.C. - Isabella Smith threw a no-hitter in game one of the series against the Seahawks (24-17, 13-6 CAA), leading the Camels (26-17-1, 15-4 CAA) to a 1-0 win. 

It was truly a battle between the pitchers, with neither team scoring in the first three innings. Tyra Parker hit a double in the fourth inning, and then Madilyn Gillespie hit an RBI single to give the Camels a run. The next three innings also remained scoreless. 

Emily Winstead (10-5), who was named CAA Pitcher of the Year in 2022, was charged with the loss after pitching 7.0 innings and allowing three hits, one earned run and eight strikeouts. 

Isabella Smith (19-5), named D1 Softball National Pitcher of the Week this week, was credited with the win after pitching 7.0 innings, allowing no hits, no runs and six strikeouts.
