Camels win series against UNCW

WILMINGTON, N.C. - Campbell (27-18-1) wins the series against UNCW (25-18), falling to the Seahawks 6-3 in game two of the series, but winning 6-0 in game three of the series. 

Game One

The Seahawks scored all six of their runs in the first five innings of the game, and the Camels remained scoreless. The Camels came alive in the seventh inning after Alyssa Henault reached on a fielding error and Allyiah Swiney and Makayla McClain scored. Tyra Parker then hit an RBI single that brought in the third and final run of the game. 

Kara Hammock (13-4) was credited with the win after pitching 7.0 innings and allowing five hits, no earned runs and four strikeouts.   

Isabella Smith (19-6) was charged with the loss after pitching 2.1 innings and allowing three hits, four earned runs and two strikeouts. Megan Gregory pitched 1.2 innings and allowed one hit and one earned run, and Kayla Howald pitched 2.0 innings and only allowed two hits and one strikeout. 
 
Game Two 

The Camels came out scoring early in the first inning when Madilyn Gillespie hit an RBI sac fly that brought in Henault. Tristin Doster hit a two RBI double in the third inning and then Swiney stole second, causing Doster to score on a throwing error by the catcher. In the fourth inning Gillespie hit an RBI single, and then Ashlyn Porter also hit an RBI single for the sixth and final run of the game. The game was called in the sixth inning due to rain. 

Emily Winstead (10-6) was charged with the loss after pitching 2.1 innings and allowing five hits, three earned runs and two strikeouts. 

Hannah Leierer (3-7) was credited with the win after pitching 5.1 innings and allowing two hits, no runs and three strikeouts.
