BUIES CREEK, N.C. - The Camels (31-19-1, 19-5 CAA) topped the Aggies (11-34, 5-19 CAA) 6-1 in game three of the series, and Isabella Smith broke the all-time career record for strikeouts. 

Kayla Thomas, Allyiah Swiney and Delaney McDilda hit three RBI singles in the second and third inning to give the Camels their first three runs of the game. Allyiah Swiney hit her second home run of the season in the fourth inning. Swiney then hit an RBI single in the sixth inning, and Savannah White followed up with an RBI double for the last run of the game.

The Aggies scored their one and only run in the seventh inning after Jamari Moss hit an RBI double. 

Isabella Smith got her 584th career strikeout in the sixth inning, which broke the record of 583. Smith totaled 29 strikeouts this weekend, and now has 589 career strikeouts. 

Sharla Kirkpatrick (4-14) was charged with the loss after pitching 3.0 innings and allowing five hits and three earned runs. 

Isabella Smith (21-6) was credited with the win after pitching 7.0 innings, allowing two hits, one earned run and 14 strikeouts.

The Camels will head to Newark, DE next weekend, May 2-4, for the last CAA series of the regular season. They will compete in the conference championship in Wilmington, N.C., the following weekend, May 8-11.
