Camels win game two against Hampton

HAMPTON, VA. - Campbell beat Hampton 9-0 in a five inning run rule in game two of the weekend series. 

The Camels posted five runs in the second inning, with Allyiah Swiney hitting an RBI double, Charlie Montgomery and Lindsay Lumsden hit RBIs, and Tristin Doster reached on an error that brought in Alyssa Henault.


In the fifth inning Swiney hit a two RBI double, Montgomery hit an RBI double and Henault hit an RBI single for the final runs of the game. 

Taryn Bennett (7-4) was charged with the loss after pitching 5.0 innings and allowing 11 hits, seven earned runs and one strikeout. 

Isabella Smith (14-5) was credited with the win after pitching 5.0 innings, allowing two hits, no runs and nine strikeouts.
