BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell Athletics capped off its first season as a Coastal Athletic Association member with a record-setting 2023-24 academic year.
Campbell student-athletes combined for a stellar 3.173 combined GPA, including a 3.202 Spring 2024 mark, a record high and the department's ninth straight academic year with at least a 3.0. CU men's programs finished the year with a collective 3.020 GPA, the highest on record, while 11 percent of Campbell student-athletes earned a 4.0, and 66 percent carrying a 3.0 or higher for the full year.
Volleyball led the way with a 3.631 GPA for the full year, with seven total teams completing the year with a 3.4 GPA or higher.
Spring 2024 saw 19 teams with a semester GPA or 3.0 or higher, including five squads boasting a 3.5 or better mark, with Women's Tennis leading the way at 3.653, and other teams posting program bests along the way.
