Camels open CAA play with win at Northeastern

Brookline, Mass. - Campbell opened CAA play with a 1-0 road win at Northeastern to remain unbeaten through five matches this season. The win is Campbell's first-ever road win in the CAA.

Campbell now sits at 4-0-1 on the year, while Northeastern remains winless at 0-2-2.

Campbell scored the day's only goal in the 38th minute on a counter attack. A loose ball fell to Marco Wright who raced up field and layed it off to Teva Lossec at the edge of the box who beat the keeper with one touch to the near post and put the Camels on top. 

The goal was Lossec's first, coming from Wright's first assist of the season as well.

The Camels generally controlled the first half outshooting the Huskies 8-2, and 3-0 in shots on goal. 

CU took eight more shots and put three more on goal in the second half, but were never able to double the lead. 

Northeastern applied plenty of pressure in the final minutes to finish with nine shots and two on goal. The Huskies' best chance came off a corner with just 30 seconds to play, but the header  was pushed just wide of the post and allowed Campbell to run out the clock.

Campbell returns to action on Wednesday, Sep. 11 at home against VCU.
