Mia Fairchild joins Camels

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell women's soccer and Head Coach Jeff Gross have announced that Mia Fairchild has joined the team.

A redshirt sophomore from Tampa, Fla., Fairchild joins the Camels after spending two years at USF. Last year for the Bulls, she appeared in 11 games and recorded an assist in a 4-0 win over FGCU.

"Mia will bring grit, competing fight and sneaky good soccer to the team," said Gross. "She has experienced a high-level program, and her seasoning will blend in well with our growing team. She is a quality person and will fit in well at Campbell University."

A midfielder, Fairchild played club soccer for Florida Premier Soccer Club under Head Coach Chris Brown. Upcoming Campbell sophomore Ava Kanaar also played for the Florida Premier club prior to joining the Camels.

Fairchild is the second transfer in two years to come to Campbell from USF. Kendall Lincoln came to Buies Creek for her final year of collegiate competition last year.
