BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Courtney Dahlquist scored 20 points, Jasmine Felton added a career-high 18 points as Campbell defeated Monmouth 76-67 Friday night at Gore Arena.
Campbell (11-9, 4-4) snaps a two-game skid and remains undefeated at home (9-0).Â
Trailing by six entering the fourth quarter, Campbell's offense exploded for 32 points on 7-of-10 shooting from behind the arc in the final 10 minutes. Dahlquist made 3-of-4 threes in the fourth while Felton made a perfect 3-of-3.
Dahlquist, who scored 21 points last time out at Stony Brook, connected on her career-high sixth triple with 54 seconds left to give Campbell its largest lead of the night at 69-58. CU made 7-of-10 free throws to seal the game down the stretch. Dahlquist finished the game with nine boards and a block while Felton added six boards and a steal.Â
Gemma Nunez recorded her first career double-double with 11 points and 11 assists, while also adding six boards and three steals. Ciara Alexander chipped in nine points and seven boards in 15 minutes while Hadleigh Dill added six points for the Camels.
Damaris Rodriguez led all scorers with 25 points for Monmouth (10-10, while also adding eight assists and five boards. Taisha Exanor added 11 points while Divine Dibula had 10 for the Hawks.Â
Campbell shot 41.5 percent (27-of-65) overall and made 43.3 percent (13-of-30) from three. The Hawks made 45.8 percent (27-of-59) and shot 57.9 percent (11-of-19) from range.Â
The Camels had 21 second-chance points, securing a 39-32 rebounding advantage including a 12-5 edge on the offensive glass.
