Camels visit Spokane to face No. 7 Gonzaga

SPOKANE, WASH. - Campbell is set to face No. 7 Gonzaga, the highest ranked opponent the Camels have faced since 1996, Wednesday night inside the McCarthy Athletics Center.

Series History
Campbell and Gonzaga have met once prior, a Dec. 19, 2012 meeting in Spokane. No. 14 Gonzaga pulled away for a 74-52 win. Trey Freeman led the Camels with 17 points. 

Ranked Opponents
Campbell is 0-14 all-time against ranked opponents. Campbell last faced a team ranked seventh or higher in 1996 at No. 2 Wake Forest. After facing No. 24 Wisconsin in the season opener, Campbell faces two ranked opponents for the first time in a season since 2004. 

Last Time Out
Tied at halftime, big second half efforts from DJ Smith and Dovydas Butka lifted Campbell past Ball State 69-64 on Sunday afternoon. Smith scored 17 of his 20 after halftime, with Butka posting 13 points, 8 rebounds after the break en route to a 22-10 double-double. Chris Fields Jr. also finished with a 14-14 double-double line.

Scouting the 'Zags
Gonzaga enters at 10-1 with the lone loss to No. 7 Michigan on a neutral court. The 'Zags already own four ranked wins, most recently over No. 25 UCLA. 

The 11th-ranked scoring offense in the country features five players averaging 9.0 ppg or better, led by 17.5 from Braden Huff. Graham Ike leads the effort on the glass with 7.8 rpg to guide Gonzaga to the seventh-best rebounding team in the nation.

Gonzaga is led by Mark Few in his 26th season at the helm.

Campbell travels halfway back across the country to stop in Minnesota to face the Golden Gophers. Tip-off in Minneapolis is set for 6pm ET/5pm CT on Big10 Network.
