Gameday Marketing: This game is CU's Salute to Service game. Active-duty military and veterans can show their military I.D. to receive $5 tickets at the ticket office. It is also Finals Frenzy. Students are encouraged to wear pajamas, and there will be free pizza for attending students. CU students can also enter for a chance to win a study essentials giveaway.

Last Time Out: Campbell dropped both games of the Osprey Thanksgiving Classic, falling to North Dakota State and North Florida.
Jasmine Felton scored 18 points in 38 minutes against the Ospreys, and
Ciara Alexander had 24 points and 11 rebounds over the two contests.

Scouting the Opponent: Mercer sits at 5-3 with wins in its last two games (Charleston Southern, Florida A&M). Ariana Bennett is the leading scorer, averaging 13.1 per game. Nahawa Diarra and Micha O'dell each average over 30+ minutes per contest.

Second Quarter Defense: CU is allowing just 10.2 points in second quarters, including lows of 0 to Virginia-Lynchburg, 2 to Grambling State, and 4 to Western Carolina. Only three teams have scored 13+ points against the Camels in the second frame.

The Camels are one of four teams to hold an opponent to 0 points in a quarter this season (CSUN, UCLA, Ohio State). Campbell and Kentucky are the only D1 teams to hold three opponents to less than 5 points in any quarter.

Series History: Campbell holds a 26-14 advantage in the overall series. Mercer has won the last two contests, but the teams have not played since 2017.

Felton on Fire: Jasmine Felton was unstoppable against the Paladins, going 8-of-11 from the field, 3-of-5 from beyond the arc and 5-of-5 at the free throw line. At 52% shooting on the year, she ranks second in the CAA.

Leading the Conference: Campbell is 2nd in the CAA in FG% defense, holding opponents to 36.9% shooting. The squad is second in the league in offensive rebounds per game (15.0) and turnovers forced (19.89). The team is third in the league in rebound margin (3.0), scoring defense (57.7), scoring margin (6.2) and turnover margin (2.89).
Ciara Alexander is first in the CAA in free throws attempts (45) and makes (30). Alexander also ranks second in total rebounds (60).
Jasmine Felton is third in the CAA in total rebounds (59) and third in blocks (10).
Jasmine Nivar is second in steals (17).

Debutant Standout: Jasmine Nivar is a two-time CAA Rookie of the Week after earning the honor on 11/24. She was also named the ROTW on Nov. 10. She recorded a double-double against Grambling State. The Apex native averaged 13.7 points and 5.0 rebounds over the first three games of the season.

National Nivar: Jasmine Nivar was named to the Tamika Catchings Award preseason watch list by the USBWA. She is one of 20 student athletes on the list and just one of two from a mid-major program. Â

Freshman 20-piece: Freshman
Jasmine Nivar led the Camels with 20 points against Tulane. She's the first freshman to score 20 points in a season opener at Campbell. She became just the fifth freshman since 2009 to score 20 points in any game.

Preseason Accolades: Senior
Gianni Boone was named to the preseason All-CAA First Team. The Camels, who finished last year as the CAA runner-up, were picked to finish fourth in the preseason coaches' poll.

20 Win Season: The Camels went 22-13 last year, marking the fifth time in nine seasons that Coach Fisher has led the squad to 20+ wins.

Top Trio Returns: The trio of
Ciara Alexander,
Olivia Tucker and
Jasmine Felton, the top freshmen trio in the CAA last year, return for their sophomore campaigns in Buies Creek.

Impact Newcomers: Campbell welcomes a trio of freshmen to Buies Creek:
Keaton Rikard,
N'na Konate and
Jasmine Nivar. The team also brings in
Ashleigh Battle, a transfer from Eastern Florida State College.

A Summer Abroad: Konate and Nivar competed internationally this season. Konate participated with Switzerland at U20 Eurobasket, helping the Swiss to a 5-2 record in the tournament. Nivar played with the Puerto Rico U18 squad at GLOBL Jam.

Decade under Fisher: Head Coach
Ronny Fisher enters his 10
th season at the helm in Buies Creek. He has amassed a 178-108 record and has twice led Campbell to a program record 23 wins in a season.

Built on Defense: Campbell is the only program in the nation to be ranked in the top-25 in scoring defense in eight of the past nine seasons. In the
Ronny Fisher era, Campbell has held 42 opponents to 40 points or less and 109 opponents to 50 points or less.
