Camels top Towson 6-1 in game two of the CAA series

TOWSON, Md. - Campbell won the second game of the series against Towson, 6-1 on Saturday afternoon. This is the 13th game in a row that the Camels have won this season. 

The Camels improved to 22-7 (8-0 CAA) for the year, and the Tigers are now 12-15 (3-5 CAA). 

Campbell started out by scoring two runs in the second inning after Cadan Brinkman hit a two RBI home run, scoring Haley Krebs who reached base on a fielding error. Grace Franczyk put Towson on the board after she hit an RBI single that brought in Taylor Broadbent. In the fifth inning, Madison Ford hit a two RBI single, scoring Tyra Parker and Charlie Montgomery. Hannah Cornetto followed up with an RBI single that brought Ford home. Cornetto hit an RBI sacrifice fly in the seventh inning, scoring Parker and giving the Camels their sixth and final run of the game. 

Olivia Trombley (3-3) was credited with the loss after pitching 5.0 innings and allowing eight hits, two earned runs, one walk and two strikeouts.

Megan Gregory (5-1) was credited with the win after pitching 7.0 innings and allowing eight hits, one earned run, one walk and seven strikeouts.
