BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Bea Buckley scored three goals and assisted on four others to lead #23 Drexel past Campbell 18-8 Sunday afternoon at Barker-Lane Stadium.
Kate Quinn posted four goals while Kate Marano finished with one goal and five assists for the nationally-ranked Dragons (8-2, 3-0). Rasa Welsh led Campbell (3-7, 1-2) with four goals.
Winners of seven-straight, Drexel jumped out to a 5-1 lead after the first quarter. Campbell cut the deficit to as few as two in the second period behind a pair of goals from Welsh and Chloe Annibell's first career goal. The Dragons responded by scoring four straight to end the quarter and take a 10-4 lead into halftime.
Drexel scored eight goals in the second half and limited the Camels to just two goals in the third and fourth quarters.
McKenna Duncan added one goal and an assist while Bridget Ahlgren and Paige White scored once for the Camels.
The Dragons held a 33-23 advantage in shots, 28-19 in shots on goal, and won the draws 18-11.
Campbell totaled 14 caused turnovers, with Sam Bischoff leading the way with three.
CAA Preseason Player of the Year Jenika Cuocco made 11 saves in the nets. Alana Lepore and Emine Luznar split time in goal for the Camels.
Campbell heads on the road for its next game at Elon on Saturday, Mar. 29.
