William & Mary edges Campbell 4-3

BUIES CREEK, N.C. - William & Mary edged Campbell 4-3 Friday afternoon at the Nisbet Tennis Center. 

Campbell (6-11, 0-3) won three singles matches but dropped the other three and the doubles point to William & Mary (5-8, 2-2).

Sean Joseph and Gur Trakhtenberg picked up a 6-2 win over Luke Tollenaar and Alex Fragasso at No. 2 doubles. The Tribe secured the doubles point as Oliver Hague and Albert Hansen defeated Adi Dagan and Aleksandar Hudjec 6-4.

The Camels rebounded quick in singles action as Thomas Drapeau picked up a 6-3, 6-4 win over Trakhtenberg at No. 1 singles while Fragasso picked up a 6-2, 6-3 win over Hansen at No. 4. 

William & Mary picked up the next two victories as Raz Katz defeated Matias Lofink 6-3, 6-3 at No. 6 while Joseph edged Hudjec 6-2, 2-6, 6-2 at No. 5 singles. 

Tollenaar tied the overall match at 3-3 with his come from behind win over Hague, 3-6, 6-3, 6-1 until Nikita Bortnichek sealed the win for the Tribe with a 3-6, 7-5, 6-2 win over Dagan. 

Campbell returns to action on Wednesday, April 9 as it hosts North Carolina A&T at 2 PM.
