BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Campbell fell to Hofstra 4-0 in the first game of the weekend series. 

The Camels are now 22-9 (8-2 CAA) for the year, and the Pride improved to 7-20 (4-6 CAA). 

In the first inning Anna Butler put the first two runs on the board for the Pride after hitting a home run and scoring Dahlia Palacio, who reached base after hitting a double to right field. Mackenzi Fitzgerald hit another two RBI home run in the third inning, scoring Butler who reached base on a single. 

Charlie Montgomery, Tyra Parker and Alyssa Armijo all compiled hits for the Camels, but never scored. 

Emma Falen (5-6) was credited with the win after pitching 6.1 innings and allowing three hits, no runs, five walks and eight strikeouts.

Megan Gregory (5-3) was credited with the loss after pitching 7.0 innings and allowing six hits, four earned runs, four walks and seven strikeouts.
