BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Ella Rishko scored four goals and added an assist to lead Delaware past Campbell 15-11 Friday afternoon at Barker-Lane Stadium.
Delaware (8-5, 4-2) jumped out to a 5-1 lead midway through the first quarter before Campbell (3-10, 1-5) charged back with a 5-0 run through the end of the first and into the second quarter to hold a 6-5 edge.
The Blue Hens scored twice before halftime and outscored the Camels 5-2 in the third quarter to take a 12-8 advantage before an 1:33 lightning delay put the game on hold.
Following the delay, goals from McKenna Duncan, Rasa Welsh and Josie Parrett brought the Camels within three but Delaware responded by scoring after every CU goal.
Halen Saroney notched a hat-trick while Delaney Mcdaniel added two goals and two assists. Rishko finished with a team-high seven draw controls to go along with her five points on the day.
Welsh and Sam Bischoff each totaled hat tricks while Duncan scored twice and added one assist.
Delaware held a 36-30 edge in shots, 29-22 in shots on goal, and won the draws 20-10.
Alana Lepore made a career-high 14 saves in the CU nets while Delaware goalie Steph Marszal finished with 11 saves.
Campbell returns to action Sunday at 11 AM as it hosts #19 Stony Brook on Senior Day.
