GREENVILLE, N.C. - Campbell fell to ECU 6-0 during the non-conference matchup.
The Camels are now 30-12 for the year, and the Pirates are now 25-19.
In the bottom of the second inning Logan Sutton drew a walk, and then scored after Gabby Fowler hit an RBI single. Anna Sawyer hit an RBI single that sent Fowler home. Fowler then hit a home run in the fourth and Fowler, Sawyer and Hailey Massaro all hit home runs in the sixth inning.
The Camels compiled three hits, but no runs ever scored and eight runners were left on base.
Tyra Parker singled in the third inning with a bunt,
Allyiah Swiney singled up the middle in the fourth inning, and then
Janel Day hit a double to left field in the seventh inning.
Taylor Apple (11-7) picked up the win after pitching 6.0 innings and allowing two hits, no runs, four walks and three strikeouts. Devin Long pitched for 1.0 inning and allowed one hit, no runs and two walks.
Emily Dameron (7-2) was credited with the loss after pitching 4.0 innings, allowing six hits, two earned runs, one walk and five strikeouts. Katherine Serna pitched for 1.1 innings and allowed two hits, two earned runs, two walks and one strikeout. Cassiti Baroni pitched for 0.2 of an inning and allowed one hit and one earned run.

The Camels will be back in Buies Creek this weekend, April 18 and 19, for their second to last home conference series. They will be playing the Drexel Dragons on Friday and Saturday, with an Easter egg hunt after the second game Saturday.
