Camels fall to the Cougars 1-0 in second game of the series

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. - Campbell fell to Charleston 0-1 in the second game of the CAA series. 

The Camels are now 33-15 (18-5 CAA) for the year, and the Cougars are now 26-23 (16-7 CAA). 

Megan Gregory (10-4) pitched all 6.0 innings for the Camels and did not allow a hit until the fifth inning. Gregory only allowed three hits total, with four walks, eight strikeouts and one earned run.

Ryley Kutter (6-6) was credited with the win after pitching 6.2 innings for the Cougars, allowing six hits, two walks, two strikeouts and no runs. Izzy Alley was credited with her second save of the year after pitching 0.1 innings and allowing no hits, no runs, no walks and no strikeouts. 

Charleston scored the first and only run of the game in the sixth inning after Kennedy Rhue hit an RBI double to right field.

Alyssa Armijo, Allyiah Swiney, Amber DeSena, Charlie Montgomery and Haley Krebs all compiled hits for the Camels, but no runs ever scored.
