Camels back in action Saturday at William & Mary

BUIES CREEK - Campbell will look to get back in the win column against William & Mary Saturday at noon. The game between the Camels and Tribe will be televised nationally on CBS Sports Network.

Game Coverage
Saturday Jan. 31 - 12:00 pm | CBS Sports Network | LiveStats

Series History
The Camels are 4-6 all-time against the Tribe, but 2-0 since joining the CAA. Campbell rolled past W&M 96-55 last season in Buies Creek, Campbell's second-largest conference win in program history. The Camels picked up a 77-64 win during the last trip to Kaplan Arena in 2024.

Scouting the Tribe
William & Mary brings a 14-7, 5-4 record into Saturday's game following a Thursday night road loss at Elon, 79-76. The Tribe are a perfect 9-0 at home on the year.

A balanced scoring effort sees Kilian Brockhoff's 11.4 ppg pace eight players averaging 6.8 ppg or better. That balance has led W&M to the CAA's highest scoring offense with 83.2 points per game. It's a similar story on the glass, with Chase Lowe's 5.7 rpg leading eight players with at least 3.0 boards per game.

William & Mary is coached by Brian Earl in his second season with the program.

Last Time Out
Campbell suffered its fifth straight loss in a 81-69 defeat against Stony Brook. DJ Smith led the Camels in scoring (20), rebounding (10), and assists (3). His 10 boards matched a career high and helped him log the second double-double of his career and first in the Orange and Black.

After trailing by five at the half, Campbell held a brief lead in the second half before relinquishing the advantage and trailing for the final 13 minutes of the ballgame.

Looking Ahead
Campbell returns home on Feb. 5  to host Drexel for the first of two meetings with the Dragons this season. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. in Buies Creek. That game kicks off a run of four out of five games being played at home after the Camels have had a road-heavy schedule thus far.
