Camels visit Elon Saturday

BUIES CREEK - Campbell will take its three-game win streak to Elon Saturday night in another CAA clash. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. inside the Schar Center.

The game will be available on WRAL-TV. Fans can watch via Spectrum (Channel 1255), DIRECTV (Channel 80), DISH Network (Channel 253) or antenna (Channel 5.2).

Series History
Campbell and Elon are familiar foes, set for the 42nd meeting between sides. The teams split last year's meetings, with each home team defending it's own court. Campbell is 3-1 against the Phoenix since joining the CAA two seasons ago.

Last Time Out
Campbell rolled past Hampton 86-72, leading by as many as 25 in the second half. DJ Smith paced the offense with 26 points. Campbell made a living at the foul line, shooting 32-38 on the night at the stripe, the most made free throws since 2011.

The Camels were without the frontcourt duo of Dovydas Butka and Chris Fields Jr., but got a big lift from Cam Gregory, who knocked down a season-high five three-pointers. Terren Frank saw his first action of the year in his return to the team.

Scouting the Phoenix
Elon carries a 10-6, 2-1 record into Saturday's contest coming off a win over NC A&T. The lone league setback was a 85-81 loss to Charleston.

The Phoenix lead the CAA in scoring with 85.6 points per game. Chandler Cuthrell leads the scoring with 21.4 ppg as one of four players averaging double figures.

Elon is coached by Billy Taylor in his fourth year at the helm.

Looking Ahead
Campbell gets a week off before heading to face UNCW next Saturday in Wilmington. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m. in the Port City.
