LAST TIME OUT
Rahshan La Mons rans for 119 yards and a touchdown, and No. 25 UAlbany handed Campbell its first FCS loss of the season, 45-35. The Great Danes (6-3, 4-1 CAA) returned a fumble and an interception for touchdowns, while rushing for 170 yards, ending Campbell's (7-2, 4-1 CAA) five-game winning streak. Prior to Saturday's game, the Camels were one of three programs in the subdivision without an FCS loss.

The Danes jumped on the board first when Dillon Dunathan picked up a Campbell fumble and returned it for a 77-yard touchdown. With time winding down in the first quarter, La Mons' 63-yard TD run made it 21-7, giving Campbell its first two-score deficit against an FCS opponent this season.

UAlbany took a 31-14 lead on Brayden Heitmeyer's 44-yard field goal, but Campbell's 11-play, 75-yard drive took only 1:15, with JJ Cowan punching in a one-yard TD before the half, cutting the lead to 31-21. After the halftime break, however, Jamari Young's 25-yard pick-6 made it a 38-21 game.

Campbell responded with scores on its next two drives, with Kamden Sixkiller finding Chinua Ezeigbo for a 27-yard touchdown, capping off another 10-play march for the Camels. Kareem Williams then returned the ball to Campbell with his strip-sack and recovery on UAlbany's Kai Colon.

On the very next play, Cowan ran through the middle, untouched, 41 yards for his third touchdown of the day, bringing Campbell within 38-35 with 13:13 remaining.

After trading possessions, Campbell turned the ball over on downs with 1:52 to play on its own 16, and BJ Norman scored on Colon's short pass, returning it to a two possession game. The Dane defense again turned Campbell over on downs on its final possession with 1:12 on the clock.

La Mons ended the day with 119 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries, while Colon completed 15-of-28 passes for 214 yards and two touchdowns, adding a score on the ground. Norman also hauled in eight catches for 99 yards for the Great Danes.

Shawan Lewis tallied 3.5 sacks and forced two fumble in the win, with Donny Jones and Jeremiah Pruitt combining for 14 tackles, 3.0 stops for loss.

The Camels dropped four spots in both FCS polls after falling at then-No. 25 UAlbany 45-35 on the road. The loss ended Campbell's five-game winning streak.

The Fighting Camels have now been ranked in both the AFCA Coaches Poll and Stats Perform FCS Top-25 Poll for six consecutive weeks, and are 7-2 on the season with a 4-1 CAA mark.

CAA RACE HEATS UP
Heading into the final three weeks of the 2026 regular season, the CAA Football standings are as close as ever, with Monmouth, unbeaten in conference play, atop the table, and Campbell and UAlbany close behind with a single CAA loss each. The conference race, including the automatic qualifier to the FCS Playoffs, could come down to CAA tie breakers at the close of the regular season.

First-place Monmouth, which has won six in a row, hosts a North Carolina A&T squad that is on a three-game winning streak. UAlbany rides a four-game winning streak into Bryant, while Stony Brook heads to Campbell with both teams looking to rebound from close losses. Towson visits a Sacred Heart squad that has won its past four CAA contests, while Rhode Island and UNH meet for the 100th time and Elon returns home for the first time since Oct. 10 against Hampton.
