BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell has added Blaine Miller as Defensive Run Game Coordinator and Defensive Line coach, as announced by head football coach
Braxton Harris.
Miller comes to Campbell after one season as an assistant coach at Syracuse, coaching the Orange nickels.
Prior to Syracuse, Miller worked as a defensive analyst for Georgia for the 2023 and 2024 seasons, which included an appearance in the 2024-25 College Football Playoff. Those seasons were the second stint for Miller in Athens, who also served as a defensive quality control coordinator, assisting with the defensive line for the Bulldogs from 2016 through the 2018 season, including an SEC Championship in 2017.
During the 2021 and 2022 seasons, Miller was the assistant head coach, defensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator at Faulkner, coaching Second Team All Mid-South Conference Appalachian Division seniors in Antonio Gurley and Phillip Russell, who combined for 101 tackles.
Early in his career, Miller spent three seasons at UAB as a sports enhancement intern, assistant strength coach and offensive graduate assistant before heading to Alabama in the spring of 2015 as a player personnel assistant and recruiting specialist. In that role, Miller assisted in all on-campus recruiting efforts for the Crimson Tide, who brought in the nation's top-ranked recruiting class, before moving on to UAB as running backs coach for the 2015 season, then his first tenure at Georgia for three seasons.
In 2019, Miller was a defensive graduate assistant at Colorado prior to becoming defensive line coach, as well as head strength and conditioning coach and out of state recruiting coordinator at East Central Community College.
Miller is a 2012 graduate of Grove City College, where he was a three-time all-conference running back, while earning a bachelor's degree in biology and exercise science. A two-time offensive MVP for the Wolverines, ranking the program's top-10 in rushing yards, rushing touchdowns, catches and receiving yards. Miller has been married to the former Holly Pippin since June 2021.
