BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell earned its first win of the season with a 13-4 victory over Gardner-Webb in the home opener, Wednesday afternoon at Barker-Lane Stadium.

Paige White scored three goals for her second hat trick in as many opportunities this season, while also dishing out a career-high three assists.

The Fighting Camels (1-1) came out aggressive in the first quarter, ending the frame with a 5-0 advantage of the Runnin' Bulldogs (0-2). Five different Camels scored in the frame, capped by White's first goal of the game with two seconds left on the clock.

GWU scored two goals in the second quarter, but goals from
Hanna Russell and White kept the advantage at five going into halftime, with the Camels ahead, 7-2.

Campbell extended its lead in the third quarter by three points, scoring four against Gardner-Webb's one.
Emma Jankowiak scored her second goal of the day off the bench to help build the lead.
Caroline Laur and Russell also scored two goals on the day.

McKenna Duncan added two assists and the final goal of the day to close out the action.

Hailey Kohlmann led the team with five ground balls and five caused turnovers in addition to scoring her first goal of the season.

Adria Welsh earned the start and recorded seven saves during the first three quarters.
Alana Lepore played the fourth quarter between the pipes and notched two saves.
