BUIES CREEK, N.C. – After the Camels went 2-0 with wins over Gardner-Webb and High Point, Hailey Kohlmann and Adria Welsh received Player of the Week honors from the CAA. Kohlmann was named the Defensive Player of the Week and Welsh was recognized as a Co-Rookie of the Week.
 
Kohlmann recorded five caused turnovers and five ground balls against Gardner-Webb and converted her only shot of the day into a goal, her first of the season. She played a clean game, committing just one foul in the 13-4 win over the Runnin' Bulldogs.
 
Against High Point, Kohlmann added an assist to four ground balls and two caused turnovers to help the Camels finish the come-from-behind win over the former conference foe.
 
Welsh went undefeated in goal this week in her second and third collegiate games. On Wednesday, she allowed just three goals and recorded seven saves in the first three quarters. She also notched one ground ball and caused one turnover.
 
Against the Panthers, the freshman secured nine saves and five ground balls. She held HPU to just four goals in the second half, allowing the Camels to complete the come-from-behind win.
