Kohlmann repeats, Annibell receives CAA weekly honors

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell defender Hailey Kohlmann repeated as the CAA Defensive Player of the Week, and Chloe Annibell earned the CAA Offensive Player of the Week award, the conference announced Monday afternoon.

Kohlmann had another spectacular week, leading the Camels to their second 2-0 week of the year. On Wednesday, the fifth-year player set a new program record with six caused turnovers against Winthrop. She also recorded six ground balls and had her third career multi-goal game, as she scored two goals in the 16-15 win.

She followed that performance with five caused turnovers, three ground balls and an assist in Campbell's 16-6 win over Longwood on Saturday. She currently ranks second in the NCAA in caused turnovers per game (4.20).

Annibell recorded two hat tricks, the firsts of her career, in Campbell's 2-0 week. Against Winthrop, the sophomore's third goal of the game was the final of the contest, as she found the back of the net with 1:20 to play to cap a three-goal CU streak and put the Camels ahead, 16-15. She also added two ground balls to her ledger.

In CU's 16-6 win over Longwood, Annibell beat the halftime buzzer when her first goal found the net with seven seconds remaining before the break. Her late-clock performance continued into the second half, as her final two goals came with less than 40 seconds to go before the conclusion of the contest.
