Campbell continues road trip against Charlotte

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – After winning four straight games, the Camels turn their attention to the Queen City and a matchup against the Charlotte 49ers to begin the second half of a six-game road swing.

Campbell defeated Longwood on Saturday for its fourth consecutive win. Chloe Annibell recorded her second hat trick in as many games and was named the CAA Offensive Player of the Week. Hailey Kohlmann was named the CAA Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.
 
Series History
Campbell is 1-0 against Charlotte in the overall series, earning a 14-8 win last year in the 49ers' first year of competition.
 
Scouting the Opponents
Charlotte is 1-3 on the year with a win over VCU. Isa Torres leads the team with 15 goals from 26 shots (20 on goal), a mark that is 18th in the country.
 
Kohlmann on the National Stage
Fifth-year defender Hailey Kohlmann is second in the NCAA in caused turnovers, averaging 4.2 per game. She also ranks seventh in the country in ground balls per game (4.2). As a team, the Camels are third in the NCAA in caused turnovers (14.0).
 
CAA Hardware
Hailey Kohlmann is the a two-time CAA Defensive Player of the Week. Adria Welsh has one CAA Rookie of the Week honor, and Chole Annibell has received one CAA Offensive Player of the Week nod.
 
Late Game Heroics
Caroline Laur scored two goals in the final three minutes to complete the comeback against High Point.
 
Against Winthrop, Chloe Annibell netted the game winner with 1:20 left on the clock.
 
White's Early Season Hat Tricks
Sophomore Paige White recorded hat tricks in the first two games of the season. She opened the 2026 campaign with four goals against Jacksonville, followed by three goals and three assists against Gardner-Webb.
 
Preseason Accolades
Fifth-year defender Hailey Kohlmann was selected as an honorable mention on the All-CAA Preseason Team. She was first on the team last year with 37 ground balls and fifth in the CAA in ground balls per game.
 
Looking for Difference Makers
The Camels are looking to replace two program greats with the departure of Rasa Welsh and Sam Bischoff. Welsh is third all-time in career assists, and Bischoff is second all-time in career goals. Both players ended their careers top five in career points.
 
Head Coach Dawn Easley
Coach Easley is in the midst of her 13th season at the helm in Buies Creek. She owns a record of 90-114 at Campbell and a 148-145 overall record.
