GREENSBORO, N.C. — Campbell drops the series finale against North Carolina A&T, 7-4, on Sunday afternoon at World War Memorial Stadium.

The Camels drop its first conference game of the season to fall to 5-1 in conference play while dropping to 9-9 overall. The Aggies move to 2-4 in CAA play while improving to 4-15 overall.

Campbell (9-9, 5-1 CAA) scored a run in three of the first four innings but allowed the Aggies to capitalize in two innings to steal the game.

Elijah Clayton tallied RBI base hits in the second and fourth innings to get the Camels on the board while Carlos Lugo scored on an Aggie miscue in the third. The Aggies plated four runs on four hits in the third to take the lead, 4-3, after three innings.

North Carolina A&T (4-15, 2-4 CAA) added insurance in the seventh plating three runs on three hits.

The Camels looked to answer in the top of the ninth as Joey Morton tallied an RBI sacrifice fly after a pair of base hits from Lugo and Jonah Oster but a fly out ended the threat.

Lugo continued to stay hot at the plate going 2-for-4 with two runs scored and a walk while three more registered multi-hit performances including Oster, Chapman, and Clayton. Clayton drove in half of the Camels' runs.
