Camels win CAA opener over Stony Brook

BUIES CREEK - Campbell picked up a win in the CAA opener, defeating Stony Brook 4-3 Tuesday afternoon in Buies Creek. The Camels dropped the doubles point, but rallied to win four singles matches and claim the match. 

After falling in doubles, Hayley Glen got things rolling in singles play with a quick 6-0, 6-2 win on court five to get the Camels on the board. Mollie Garcia then earned a win on court two (6-3, 6-0) to put Campbell ahead. 

Defeats on courts one and six left it to Ilouna Aneca to close out the day's only three-set match. After dropping the first set 2-6, Aneca rallied to win the next two sets 6-0, 6-2 and clinch the win for the Camels. 

Campbell is back in action at home Friday afternoon against Hofstra for another CAA clash beginning at 2 p.m.
