BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Sophomore attacker Emma Penkunas was named the CAA Offensive Player of the Week, and freshman goalkeeper Adria Welsh earned her second CAA Rookie of the Week honor, the conference announced Monday afternoon. The Camels were 3-0 this week and extended their win streak to a program record eight games.
 
Penkunas put in a solid performance off the bench all week to help the Camels go 3-0. She recorded her first career hat trick in Campbell's win over Furman on Monday, doing so on four shots. She followed that up with a goal and assist against Wofford before tallying four goals and an assist in Campbell's 16-9 win over ECU.
 
Welsh had an impressive week in goal for the Camels, going 3-0 and helping the Camels reach their longest winning streak in program history. In Sunday's win over ECU, the freshman tied her career high with 10 saves. She made three saves in the third quarter alone, shutting out the Pirates in that frame. At one point ECU went over 20 minutes of game action between goals. In addition, she recorded two ground balls and two caused turnovers. Against Furman, Welsh had four saves and corralled three ground balls. She followed that up with three ground balls and six saves on Wednesday against Wofford.
 
Campbell next takes the field on Saturday to open the conference slate against Towson. The game is scheduled to start at 12:00 PM from Barker-Lane Stadium and will be streamed live on FloCollege.
