BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Campbell softball team rallied over the final three innings to secure its second series win over Elon this season, defeating the Phoenix 9-1 in six innings via run rule at home.
Both teams were locked in a pitcher's duel through the first three innings, with neither side able to score.
In the fourth, senior

Hannah Cornetto then lifted a ball to center field, allowing Montgomery to tag and score the game's first run.
Campbell's offense broke through in the fifth. Montgomery drove in a run on a groundout, and freshman

Junior
Janel Day and sophomore

With the bases loaded, senior
