Campbell drops final midweek matchup to UNCG

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Campbell softball team fell to UNC Greensboro, 5-2, on Wednesday night at Amanda Littlejohn Stadium.

UNC Greensboro added an insurance run in the top of the seventh, and Campbell went down in order in the bottom half.

Campbell totaled four hits on the night. Montgomery finished 1-for-2 with a triple and a run scored. Senior Allyiah Swiney added a double, while Krebs recorded a hit and two stolen bases.

In the circle, juniors Ryleigh Bennett and Cassiti Baroni split time. Bennett struck out three over six innings, while Baroni pitched the seventh.
