Dace named to NFL’s Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell second year running backs coach Larry Dace III has been named to the NFL's Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship program for the Tennessee Titans.

Designed to give talented coaches opportunities to observe, participate, and gain experience through the clubs' training camps, offseason workout programs and minicamps, broadening the pool of diverse talent considered for full-time NFL coaching positions, all 32 NFL clubs participate in the Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship program each year.

The program also mentors participants in the form of continuing and constructive feedback regarding their work while with the club.

"I'm excited for Larry's opportunity to continue his development and growth," said Campbell head coach Braxton Harris. "He is a rising star in the coaching ranks that has played a critical role in improving our rushing attack here at Campbell, and we're looking forward to his continued leadership in that room!"

"First, I'd like to thank GOD for blessing me with this incredible opportunity," said Dace. "I'm ecstatic for the chance to grow and develop my coaching skills under the Tennessee Titans organization. This special moment allows me to take the next step in my coaching career. I'm truly excited to take what I learn and bring it back to the Camels to elevate our program to new heights! Roll Humps."

As part of the program's evolution, in 2012 the NFL announced the formation of the Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship Advisory Council, comprised of a distinguished group of NFL coaches and general managers.

Fellowships can take place during OTAs, minicamps, or Training Camp and the length of the fellowship ranges from a few days to a few weeks. In select cases, clubs have extended a fellow to work on staff with them for a season or year.
