BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Campbell women's basketball program and Head Coach Ali Jaques announced the addition of Deja Rawls to the coaching staff. She will serve as an assistant coach.
 
"It's really a full circle moment for me to welcome Deja Rawls to our coaching staff at Campbell," said Jaques. "Deja was a four-year starting point guard for us at Siena and one of the toughest and most loyal players I've had the privilege to coach. Deja understands our system, culture, and will be a great mentor for our current and future players. It's always rewarding when one of your former players joins your staff, and I'm grateful she made the move to the Creek!"
 
"I'm excited to join Coach Ali and the Campbell coaching staff and contribute to a program committed to developing student athletes and competing at a high level," Rawls said. "I'm looking forward to bringing my experience and energy to the Creek and helping our team grow and succeed this season."
 
Rawls started 106 career games while at Siena and recorded 3,500 minutes, leading the Saints to 42 conference wins during their career. She averaged 4.7 points, 2.6 assists, 2.4 rebounds and 0.9 steals throughout her career under Jaques.
 
Following her playing career, Rawls became an NCAA and PIAA basketball official, gaining valuable experience and perspective across the collegiate and high school levels.
 
Rawls founded Respect Her Game Hoops in 2023, a non-profit organization dedicated to girls' basketball, mentorship, leadership and personal growth. Through the organization, she has helped provide basketball opportunities and programming for hundreds of young athletes across the East Coast.
 
A Philadelphia native, Rawls was rated a three-star point guard out of high school and was named to the Pennsylvania all-state second team following her senior year of high school. She earned a degree in business management with a concentration in applied leadership from Siena in 2019.
