BUIES CREEK — Campbell women's soccer played to a 0-0 draw against Stony Brook on Sunday afternoon at Eakes Athletics Complex.
Campbell moves to 3-5-4 and 0-1-2 in league play while Stony Brook is now 4-1-5 and 1-1-1 in conference action.
Both halves were much of a defensive battle between the squads but had plenty of opportunities to find the back of the net. Campbell maintained possession frequently throughout the first half as the squads headed into the half with 10 shots apiece.
The second half was much of the same but Stony Brook found momentum and forced four corners but failed to convert a shot. The Camels tabbed three corners and 11 shots in the half.
Anais Van Doesburg tallied four saves on the match to the Seawolves three. Campbell outshot Stony Brook 21-18 but combined for just seven shots on goal.
Abby Connolly took four shots as
Mia Turtle and
Gillian Garrison had three.
