Who can join?
Anyone can become a member of the Fighting Camel Club with a minimum annual contribution of $100, through the purchase of season tickets, or providing a major gift towards a facility project.

Why should I join?
To help us in our goal to bolster the experience for today's student-athlete as well as secure a first-class experience for all future Fighting Camel teams.

What is the Fighting Camel Club?
The Fighting Camel Club houses unrestricted gifts to the Athletics Department. These gifts will support department-wide strategic initiatives to deliver extraordinary student-athlete experiences that include facility enhancements, experiences abroad, summer school, sports performance, health and wellness, career and professional development, recruiting and coach retention.

What if I've already made a contribution to Campbell Athletics this year?
If you have already contributed to Campbell Athletics Fighting Camel Club during this fiscal year (since June 1, 2020), you are already enrolled.

Can my benefits related to giving and tickets be transferred to someone else?
All benefits and tickets can be transferred to immediate family members (spouse or child).

How do I get season tickets?
Members receive priority over the general public in season and single game ticket assignments, as well as post-season opportunities. Priority is based on the Priority Point System (where you earn points for gifts and years of membership). All members are sent season ticket applications annually. Tickets are required for entry to Campbell football, men's and women's basketball, and baseball games as well as Big South Tournament and national post-season tournament games in any sport.

Can I donate directly to my favorite sport?
Yes! Campbell Athletics continues to encourage giving to specific sports. Gifts can made online or mail (PO Box 433, Buies Creek, NC 27506). These gifts can be made year-round and are especially encouraged on Campbell's Giving Day, held during the first week of February each year. While sport-specific gifts will not go toward your priority point totals, these gifts are vital to the competitive excellence of our 21 programs.

Is my donation tax deductible?
The Tax Cuts & Jobs Act of 2017 contains changes to Internal Revenue Code section 170(l) which impact gifts that benefit an institution of higher education that directly or indirectly provide rights to purchase seating at home athletic venues. While clear and precise rulings and interpretations of the full impact of the new legislation are not yet available, our tax advisors have advised us that the following appear certain:
  • A gift to The Fighting Camel Club that grants you the rights to purchase seats at home athletic contests is most likely no longer considered tax-deductible.
  • Donors who waive their right to purchase tickets based on their gift and the points associated with their gift may be able to deduct their contribution.
  • The revised tax legislation addresses only tickets at home athletic venues. It does not address parking for home games nor rights to purchase seating for away or postseason games.
  • The above changes in the tax code likely will impact the deductibility of gifts to The Fighting Camel Club for membership dues, seats, as well as some scholarship gifts.
  • Please note that Campbell Athletics is not a tax advisor. We encourage you to consult with your own tax advisors to determine how this legislation may impact the deductibility of your gifts in support of Campbell student-athletes.
  • While the changes in tax law may change the deductibility of your gifts, they do not change the importance of your gifts to Campbell student-athletes. You have an incredible impact on the lives of our Camels and on our ability to recruit, train, and develop the best student-athletes in the country.
