RECENTLY COMPLETED FCC PROJECTS

Eakes Athletics Complex Renovation 
Project Status:  Completed, Fall 2019

The FIGHTING CAMEL CLUB completed the funding to install grandstand stadium seating in the summer of 2019 at the Eakes Athletics Complex. The campaign investment was over $600,000. 

The new stadium includes 300 chair back seats and bleacher back seating an additional 286 and stretches between the 18-yard boxes. Other FCC funded projects at this venue include a new sound & lighting system, plus a permanent bench area and press box added in the summer of 2016.

The Louisa Alliene Taylor Football Locker Room
Project Status: Completed, Spring of 2021

The FIGHTING CAMEL CLUB and Louisa Alliene Taylor ‘89 christened the newly renovated locker room at the Spring Football Game in April 2021. The project was made possible by a $750,000 lead gift from Louisa Taylor and Troy Lumber Company in Troy, NC.  More than 20 additional FCC donors made contributions to the completion of the state-of-the-art renovation, located inside the Warren Athletics Complex.  Projects like this enhance Campbell’s recruiting capability putting FIGHTING CAMELS football on the same playing field as some of the nation’s best football programs.

Gore Arena Sports Performance Center 
Project Status: Completed, Summer 2022

This area opened for use by the FIGHTING CAMELS over the summer of 2022.  This new, enlarged strength & conditioning complex will serve basketball, volleyball, wrestling, track & field and other teams, as needed.



ONGOING PROJECTS


Currently, FIGHTING CAMEL CLUB donations are funding the following Campbell Athletics capital projects:

Gore Arena Sports Medicine Complex  
Project Status: Targeting Winter 2023 opening

This new area targeting student-athlete wellness will be 400% larger than the previous space. In total more than 2,000 square feet of the latest, state of the art equipment and areas for engagement.
 

Gore Arena Brand Development Lab
Project Status: Targeting Spring 2023 opening

This space will be the epicenter for all digital content generation promoting and supporting our 570 student-athletes at Campbell University. Part of the components include a/v editing studio, green screen room, and channel-specific social media pods focused on creative, brand-driving, engaging media. This space will be a major boost to all of our coaches in our drive to enhance the equality of our messaging to recruits.
 

Campbell Tennis Flagpole Campaign 
Project Status: Fundraising ongoing

This project will lead to the installation of a Memorial Flagpole at the Nisbet Tennis Center, the home of Fighting Camel Tennis. The American flag has stood as a symbol of freedom and justice for over 245 years. Through wars and in times of peace, the sight of the American flag has given notice to foes and assurances to friends that democracy lives. No other symbol captures the power and glory of our nation like the American flag. 
 

Campbell Men’s Soccer 60th Anniversary Campaign 
Project Status: Fundraising ongoing

This season marks the 60th anniversary of Campbell University’s Men’s Soccer. Over 600 student-athletes have worn the orange and black. To help recognize this landmark, THE FIGHTING CAMEL CLUB is launching a $60,000 soccer alumni fundraising drive that will culminate with Homecoming Weekend 2022.

Many of Campbell’s former soccer players will also be returning to Campbell on Saturday, October 8 as Campbell soccer hosts UNC Asheville at the Eakes Athletics Complex at 7 PM.

Campbell Women’s Soccer 30th Anniversary Campaign 
Project Status: Fundraising Ongoing 

This season marks the 30th anniversary of the Campbell Women’s Soccer program, which has produced over 300 women who have worn the orange and black. 

The FIGHTING CAMEL CLUB is launching a $30,000 alumni fund raising drive to help commemorate this landmark season. Many of Campbell’s former women’s soccer players will be returning on Friday, October 7 as the women’s soccer teams host Presbyterian at the Eakes Athletics Complex at 8PM.
