Greg Milhouse

Former NFL prospect and Campbell defensive line standout Greg Milhouse joined the Camel staff as a defensive qualify control coach in the spring of 2018.

Since joining the coaching ranks, Milhouse has helped the Camels to winning seasons in both 2018 and 2019. Campbell again tied a school single-season record for wins in 2019, the program’s second as a Big South member, while posting a six game winning streak, another program record. Nine Camels also took Big South postseason honors in 2019.

In his first season back in Buies Creek, the Camels posted six wins in their inaugural season as a Big South member. Additionally, seven Camels were named All-Big South.

Milhouse returned to Campbell after professional stints with the New York Giants and Seattle Seahawks in the National Football League, as well as the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the Canadian Football League.

Milhouse, along with long snapper Danny Dillon, became the first Camels to sign contracts with NFL franchises in 2016.

The former Campbell defensive tackle (2014-15), initially signing with the New York Giants in 2016 as an undrafted free agent, playing with the Giants through the NFL preseason, eventually signing with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL to close the year. Milhouse also opened the 2017 season with the Roughriders.

He signed with the Seahawks during the 2017 preseason.

The Garner, N.C. native was a two-time All-PFL defensive lineman, including a First Team selection in 2015. He recorded 49 total tackles with 12.5 tackles for loss and 5.0 sacks this season, posting at least one tackle for loss in 10 of 11 games.

Milhouse was a participant in the 2016 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl in Carson, Calif. and still ranks among Campbell's career top-10 in sacks and tackles for loss after just two seasons, transferring from Appalachian State.

The defensive tackle helped the Camels rank fifth in the nation in total defense in 2015 (279.3 per game), standing third in team sacks per game (3.55) and ninth in scoring defense (17.7). The team shattered program records for all three categories, adding single season marks for tackles for loss (85.0) and total sacks (38.0).

Milhouse began his coaching career at Garner High School, coaching the defensive line and helping lead the Trojans to a conference championship and a regional runner-up finish.
