Former Campbell All-Big South tackle Jacob Cuddington was named the Camels’ tight ends coach in January 2022.
Heading into his fourth season on staff, Cuddington joined the CU sidelines prior to the 2020 season as an offensive graduate assistant, helping with the offensive side of the ball, primarily with the offensive line, also breaking down opponents.
During the 2021 campaign, the Kenly, N.C. native assisted with an offense that led the Big South in passing offense with a school record 261.6 yards per game (2,901 yards), ranking 22nd in the FCS, despite starting three different quarterbacks during the season.
Cuddington again helped the Campbell offense to a record-setting season in 2022, with the Camels breaking the school passing yards record (2,915) for the second straight year. With Cuddington's guidance, Julian Hill became a three-time All-Big South selection before signing with the Miami Dolphins.
Once a staple on the CU offensive line, Cuddington joined the coaching staff after a standout playing career with the Camels from 2015-19. Cuddington started his final 22 games for the Camels, mostly at left tackle, on the way to First Team All-Big South accolades as a senior in 2019.
Also a former Big South Presidential Honor Roll and Pioneer Football League Academic Honor Roll member, Cuddington graduated from Campbell in the spring of 2020 with a B.S. in sport management, and is currently working toward a masters in interdisciplinary studies, concentrating in exercise science.
