Campbell University

Josh Tate was named Campbell’s head football equipment manager in June 2012 and enters his 10th overall year with the program.

In 2014 and 2015, Tate headed the overhaul of Campbell’s new helmet and uniform designs. Tate transitioned the Camels to a modern, white helmet in 2014, as well as new-look Under Armour uniforms.

In his current role, Tate manages all CU football equipment, including maintenance and dispersal, and assists the program in day to day activities.

The Kernersville, N.C. native served as the team’s head student manager for four seasons before moving to his new post.

Tate graduated from Campbell in May of 2012 with a B.S. in sport management and a minor in business.

He was named Campbell’s Student Manager of the Year for the 2010-11 season.

He is married to the former Sarah Gentle.
