A two-time graduate of Campbell, Sutton coaches the inside wide receivers and specialists. He is heavily involved in all aspects of the team, including game planning, recruiting and academic support.
Sutton helped in the development of Trayjen Llanas-Wilcox and Randall King, who each earned All-CAA honors in 2025. He has also coached extensively among the specialists group, coaching punt, kick-off coverage, kick-off return, punt return and field goal.
In 2024, Sutton assisted in the development of First Team All-CAA member Sincere Brown. Brown set the school record with 12 receiving touchdowns and became the third player in program history to surpass 1,000 receiving yards in a single season.
Sutton began coaching in Buies Creek as a graduate assistant in August 2023, working as an offensive quality control specialists while helping with the receivers and specialists. During that season, he helped coach a freshman All-American in Randall King.
Sutton began his playing career at Western Carolina before transferring to Campbell. While in Buies Creek, he earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science and his MBA, earning Academic All-American status with a 4.0 GPA.
Originally from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Sutton lives with his wife, Brianna Cabrera.
