Dr. Woodrow Lowe III is in his second season as wide receivers coach at Campbell under head coach Braxton Harris.
At Campbell, Lowe reunites with offensive coordinator Matt Kubik, whom he played for at Southern Miss. In his first season, wide receiver Randall King earned All-CAA honorable mention honors and Trayjen Llanas-Wilcox was named third-team All-CAA as a punt returner.
Before Campbell, Lowe served as wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator at Tusculum University under head coach Billy Taylor. He began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Liberty, working with the safeties and nickels, and serving as the RPO breakdown specialist for defensive coordinator Kyle Krantz under head coach Jamey Chadwell.
A former ESPN four-star recruit, Lowe played quarterback at West Virginia, where he also played in the outfield for the Mountaineer baseball team. He continued his career at Southern Miss and finished at Liberty, where the Flames went undefeated in the regular season and played in the Fiesta Bowl. He then played professionally for the Edmonton Elks of the Canadian Football League.
Lowe holds a Doctor of Education in Higher Education from Liberty, a master's degree in Sports Management from Southern Miss, and a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and Physical Education from West Virginia.
Lowe comes from a deep football family. His grandfather, Woodrow Lowe Sr., is a College Football Hall of Famer from Alabama, where his 134 tackles in a season have stood as the school's single-season record for more than 50 years. He went on to play 11 seasons in the NFL and later coached for the Kansas City Chiefs and Oakland Raiders. His father, Woodrow Lowe Jr., has coached for more than 25 years at the professional, collegiate and high school levels and is a future TSSAA Hall of Fame inductee. His uncle, Eddie Lowe, is a former Grey Cup champion (1989), Canadian Football League All-Star and Saskatchewan Roughriders great linebacker, who was inducted in the Roughriders’ hall of fame, the Plaza of Honour.
