2007-08: Redshirted to retain his year of eligibility...part of the 2007 recruiting class ... played in the inaugural Orange-Black game.

Prep: A two-year varsity football letterwinner at Grimsley High School...tallied 238 tackles, five sacks and seven fumble recoveries in his career...missed most of his senior season due to injuries...team went a combined 26-3 his junior and senior seasons advancing to the state championship game his junior year...also lettered in wrestling (team MVP) and track (Freshman of the Year).
