Prep: A three-year varsity football letterwinner at Shelby High...team won two state championships and was the runner-up for the title his senior season...also lettered in track where he was an all-conference selection three times (100 high hurdles, 300 hurdles and 4x400 relay)...ranked fifth in the state his senior season in the 110 high hurdles.

Personal: Full name is Lance Neach Jackson ...born 9/6/89 in Gastonia, N.C. ...son of Grady and Cheryl Jackson... has two younger siblings, Julian and Damien...his cousin, Kenan Little, played football at the Naval Academy...plans to major in wellness management.
