2007-08: Redshirted to retain his year of eligibility ...part of the 2007 recruiting class ... played in the inaugural Orange-Black game.

Prep: A four-year varsity football letterwinner at Western Alamance High School... played on both the offensive and defensive line for the Warriors...team went a combined 49-10 his four years reaching the state championship game in three straight seasons... named All-Conference and All-Region his senior season ...also lettered in wrestling and track & field
