Chelsea Beers serves as the head football athletic trainer at Campbell.

She also coordinates with CU’s strength and conditioning staff to create sport-specific programs for injured athletes, as well as with on-campus counselors for team-wide mental health education. With an emphasis on the importance of recovery and prevention of injuries, Beers also communicates with team physicians and implements rehabilitation protocols in addition to overseeing the program’s athletic training staff, including students.
Prior to Campbell, Beers was an assistant football athletic trainer at Houston Christian for the 2023 season. During the 2022 season, Beers was an athletic training intern at Western Kentucky, working with the football and women’s tennis teams, and worked as a graduate assistant at Indiana State from 2020-22.
Other professional experience includes the Bank of America Chicago Marathon (2017-19), an exercise science minor internship at the University of St. Francis (2019) and student athletic training rotations (2017-20).
Beers completed her undergraduate studies at Olivet Nazarene in 2020, majoring in athletic training with a minor in exercise science. She then obtained a master’s in exercise science at Indiana State in 2022.
As a student, she was president of the Olivet Athletic Training Club, and a student representative and social chair board member for the Illinois Athletic Training Association Student Congress.
Beers has been a certified athletic trainer since 2020 and a member of the National Athletic Training Association since 2017, also holding certifications in dry needling (level 1), mental health first aid, IV technician and CPR/AED.
