Shelby Crane joined the Campbell University Athletics program in May 2024 as an Academic Coordinator for Student-Athlete Support where she works with the football program.
Prior to joining Campbell, Crane was the Assistant Director of Compliance - Scholarships at Houston Christian University from 2022 to 2024. She primarily worked within the NCAA Bylaws 15, 11 and 13 and had additional responsibilities within the department.
In 2021 to 2022, Crane returned to her alma mater and worked as an Admissions Coordinator for The Graduate School at Houston Christian University, helping in the process of admissions and registration for incoming graduate students.
Prior to her return to Houston, Crane was an equipment manager of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in Las Vegas, NV, from 2015 to 2021. There she traveled around the globe assisting in equipment needs at events.
Originally from Dallas, TX, Crane earned a bachelor’s degree in BBA Marketing from Houston Christian University (formerly Houston Baptist University) where she competed on the women’s soccer team as a goalkeeper.
She is an active member of the National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals (N4A).
Crane and her husband, David, are parents to one daughter, with a son on the way in Fall 2025.
